Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 5 years. No need to decant. Founded in 1957, the Klet Brda cooperative winery is located in Slovenia and brings together the work of over 400 winemaking families. The cooperative produces a wide range of wines, like Quercus, which includes fresh, youthful wines from local and international grape varieties. The Pinot Blanc grapes are sourced from terraced vineyards located in Brda at an altitude of 80–200 meters with southwest/southeast exposure. The vines, between 10 and 30 years old, are rooted in loamy sandstone soil and benefit from a sub-Mediterranean climate. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The finished wine then ages in stainless steel for 6 months before bottling. In the glass, Quercus Pinot Blanco reveals a clear lemon-yellow color with bright greenish hues. Its aromatic profile is fresh and fragrant with delicate notes of citrus, apple, and pear, followed by hints of white flowers and lemongrass. On the palate, it is elegant and delicate with a well-defined minerality and refreshing acidity. It is dry and crisp, easy-drinking and thirst-quenching. The finish is medium-long and recalls notes of citrus and lychee. It's excellent as a summer aperitif served with seafood and white fish appetizers, or with mixed salads and fish carpaccio.
