Whole Wild Octopus - Raw

You get one whole octopus that is frozen as it came out of the sea Cooking an octopus is so much easier than you think. Just simmer for an hour. An octopus will shrink by around 40% during cooking, so a 1kg fish will give two good servings. There are many species of octopus and they all look pretty similar to the uninitiated. We confess that we are hardly experts ourselves, but we know a few people who are. Our suppliers in Portugal or Spain take their octopus very seriously and golly they charge a lot for it. But it seems to keep our customers happy! If all you want are the tentacles, then take a look at our cooked tentacles ,  raw tentacles  or our sliced tentacles .
