Ciabot Berton Barolo DOCG 2020/21

Barolo is one of Italy's most highly regarded fine-wine styles – with prices that match its stellar reputation. But if you find the right producer, you can still taste something fantastic in the region that doesn't break the bank. Ciabot Berton is a relatively small winery run by brother-and-sister team of Marco and Paola Oberto. They make this wine from a number of vineyards in the celebrated La Morra commune and age it in oak for two years. It's elegant and full-bodied, with aromas of roses, truffle, blackcurrant and cinnamon. Try it with venison stew.
