Average nutritional values for 100gr Calories 900 Kcal/3700 Kj Total Fats 100 g Located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, in the province of Grosseto, Fattoria Le Pupille was founded in the 1980s by Elisabetta Geppetti, with the advice of Giacomo Tachis, one of Italy's most renowned winemakers. Of the estate's 420 hectares of land, most are dedicated to vineyards, but approximately 20 hectares are planted with olive groves and used for growing cereals. The winery produces a wide range of fine wines from Sangiovese and international varietals, such as the Super Tuscan Saffredi, as well as top-quality olive oil. Fattoria Le Pupille's extra virgin olive oil is a blend of indigenous Correggiolo, Frantoio, and Moraiolo olive varieties. After harvesting, the oil is quickly mechanically pressed at low temperatures to ensure maximum fragrance and preserve its organoleptic properties. The oil shines with a brilliant emerald color. On the nose, it reveals a fresh and vegetal aromatic profile with notes of artichoke, Mediterranean herbs, and asparagus. On the palate, it is vibrant with a slight spiciness that balances the delicate sweetness. The vegetal notes of tomato leaves alternate with fruity hints, creating a very balanced overall flavor. It is excellent on roasted fish, with the typical Tuscan ribollita soup, and, of course, on bruschetta.
