Nestled in the heart of the French Riviera, the Distillerie De La Riviera is the birthplace of The Gardener Gin. Crafted under the expert guidance of master distiller Tom Nichol, the Gardener Gin is a fresh take on the classic London Dry, utilising locally sourced botanicals from Vallauris near Antibes. With over 40 years of distilling experience, Tom Nichol made his name at Tanqueray, where he was the creative force behind some of the world’s most respected gins. His latest venture, The Gardener Gin, is the result of a star collaboration between Nichol, the Perrin family (behind Château Miraval), and actor Brad Pitt. Distilled in copper stills just inland from the Côte d’Azur, this gin blends bitter orange, sweet orange and pink grapefruit with traditional botanicals like juniper, coriander and liquorice. The result is clean, citrus-led and beautifully balanced. On the nose, it’s bright and aromatic with zesty lemon and herbaceous notes. The palate is smooth, layered and dry, with a burst of grapefruit and soft peppery spice. Try it in a classic G&T garnished with a slice of orange or in a French 75 to dial up the Riviera glamour. Organic, elegant and seriously well made. This is a gin that’s every bit as stylish as its creators.
