Supplied with ivory ribbon and additional lengths of our beautiful soft green ribbon, our Cotswold 4 Tier Wedding Cake is made to our original award-winning fruit cake recipe. -  Full of fruit and nuts, generously laced with French brandy then slow baked in small batches before being carefully hand decorated, it's a proven favourite.. Use this elegant but simply iced four-tier cake as a centrepiece to any celebration table, wedding or anniversary, safe in the knowledge that it’s made to the same exacting standards as all other Meg Rivers products.. The top tier with it's hand applied real rosebuds is baked in a 2" tin, second tier is a 4" tin, the 3rd tier a 6" tin and the bottom tier is baked in an 8" tin.. Supplied on boards with additional spare silver boards for transferring the cake to if required.. ** All Fruit Wedding cakes have minimum 2 months shelf life **. Fruit Tier Weights - 2" Top Tier 140g, 4" Middle Tier 750g, 6" Middle Tier 1.7kg, 8" Bottom Tier 2.9kg. Bottom and middle tiers are approx 7cm in height and top tier is 5.5cm in height, excluding the height of the cake boards.. (our four tier cake can be cut into approx 82 - 102 wedding finger portions). How to cut your Meg Rivers Rich English Fruit Cake.. Use a sharp and serrated knife (a good bread knife is ideal).. Cut in a sawing motion from the outside of the cake towards the centre.. Ideally clean the blade between each slice.
