Château d'Estoublon '1489 by Roseblood' 2022/23, Côtes de Provence

Winemaking is nothing new to Provence, where grapes have been planted since Roman times. Nor is it new to Château d’Estoublon – established in 1489. With a great diversity of terroirs to choose from, including calcareous and crystalline soils, rolling hills and limestone ridges sculpted by erosion, the estate’s winemaker Victor Joyeux has much to work with. As well as helping to craft the label’s flagship Roseblood wine and their award-winning olive oils, Joyeux makes this enticing blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Inspired by the chateau’s rose garden, it’s a structured and fresh rosé with white flower, spice and plum character. Try it with duck or a strawberry tart.
