Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 8 years. No need to decant. Located in Summonte in the heart of Irpinia, in Campania, the Guido Marsella winery has been producing excellent wines since 1995. The vineyards, located at an altitude of approximately 800 meters, enjoy particularly favorable conditions for the cultivation of vines. The company extends over approximately 8 hectares of vineyards, planted with the indigenous Fiano, Greco, and Falanghina grapes on clayey soils which guarantee good water retention. The Fiano di Avellino grapes come from vineyards that are approximately 30 years old, located at 700 meters above sea level on soils of rocky clay origin. The harvest is manual and, after vinification, the wine rests in steel for approximately 12 months and another 6 months in the bottle. The wine reveals an intense yellow color with golden reflections. Its aromatic profile is intense and fresh with notes of peach, pear, and exotic fruit, followed by aromatic herbs, wisteria, and jasmine, nuances of citrus, and some salty notes. On the palate, it is fresh and full-bodied, rich and delicately citrusy. It has a very well-balanced acidity and a fresh finish with light salty and almond notes. It is perfect with fish and shellfish but also pairs well with white meats such as rabbit and poultry.
