Yalumba 'Worthy Grounds' Viognier 2021/22, Eden Valley

Independent and family-owned since 1849, Yalumba has spent six generations creating wines that echo the diverse terroirs of South Australia. They’ve been growing Viognier since 1980, when they pioneered the white grape in the Eden Valley. The fruit for Worthy Grounds is sourced from seven separate blocks then crushed by award-winning winemaker Louisa Rose, who ferments and matures it in old French oak for 10 months before bottling. Expect aromas of fresh apricot, ginger and white flowers, plus flavours of stone fruit and saffron. A real food wine: try it with falafel, Moroccan tagine or pork dumplings with chilli sauce.
