Soft and furry, it lines the sleeves and the back of the jacket, then forms a separate vest-style front that can be zipped or unzipped.When the day is relatively warm, but you need a bit of protection for swift mountain descents or against the rain, zip the outer but leave the inner open. If the conditions are cold but calm, open up the outer and zip the inner.
