Product Description
Rugs from Agnella's Noble collection are woven from undyed British wool. Eliminating the dyeing process saves energy and water, making production processes more environmentally friendly. By combining cut pile, loops, and flat weaving, these rugs feature a three-dimensional effect and an interesting texture. This eye-catching pattern is inspired by one of the many 'paisley' designs assembled in its collection by the V&A created by George Haité in the 1850s. Inspired by traditional Indian 'boteh' motifs, Haite's shawl patterns were a fashionable item of women's clothing in the 19th century, made popular by Queen Victoria. Scaled up and woven into a rug, the fantastic all-over pattern is a new and interesting visualisation of the colourful textile designs. - woven with a British wool and nylon blend - suitable for high traffic areas - naturally hypoallergenic - the surface of the wool fleece traps dust and other impurities which keeps them from spreading in the air, a great solution for people with asthma or allergies - easy to maintain - a wool pile has a natural protective layer provided by the natural oils in the sheep fleece which prevents dirt from sticking to the fibre and makes it easily removable - excellent sound absorber - renewable raw material - wool fibre is 100% biodegradable and fully renewable making a wool rug an eco-friendly option - air purification - positive air ions are created by electrical equipment inside our homes, there is sufficient evidence to suggest that these have a negative effect on health; as a natural material wool creates negative ions which helps to neutralise the air - naturally flame-retardant - owing to the natural properties of the fibre, wool rugs are flame retardant; in case of a fire, wool does not transmit the flame and does not melt - British Wool License confirming that for rug production we use the best quality wool from the UK - an investment for years - using quality yarns and expert manufacturing you can be sure that our wool rug will stand the test of time
