Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant. Located in Faverolles et Coëmy, in the north-west of the Champagne wine region, Maison Jeeper was founded in 1949 by Armand Goutorbe. The company's name comes from the fact that, due to a disability (acquired during World War II), Armand drove around the vineyards in a Willys Jeep. Today, the company is run by Nicolas Dubois and Michel Reybier's team. Champagne Jeeper Grande Reserve Blanc de Blancs is a highly refined wine, produced with Chardonnay grapes from eleven of the finest vineyards in the Montagne de Reims, Côte des Blancs, and Pays de Vitryat. After fermentation, 40% of the base wine is aged in oak barrels for two years before being further aged on the lees for five years. In the glass, the wine reveals a pale golden color, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. Its aromatic profile is lively and expressive, with notes of citrus and white fruit followed by mineral and honey hints. On the palate, it has a creamy texture. It is fruity and balanced, with a pronounced citrus acidity that refreshes the palate and continues on the long finish. It is a wine with a strong aromatic character that makes an excellent aperitif but also pairs well with food, especially fish and seafood.
