Wire Works Port Wine LBV Whisky is a dual maturation of White Peak Distillery's lightly-peated spirit, initially matured in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, and finished in ‘Late Bottled Vintage’ Port barriques, which impart vibrant, fruity-sweet notes to the aging whisky.. LBV Port wine itself is made from grapes harvested in a specific year, and left to cask age from 4 to 6 years, allowing a gentle oxidation, and providing a well-rounded, fruity, and velvety profile..
