Blend Greyish Taupe

“A taupe shade with a big dollop of grey. It's a light and airy neutral that's ready to roll with almost anything." As a colour taupe is described as a grey with a tinge of brown. It can come in so many variations depending on whether it nudges more towards the grey or brown side of the scale and ours here definitely fits more on the greyer side of taupe. Greyish taupe is quite ashy and in some lights the brown grey nature of the colour can enhance some greeny undertones in the colour. This beautiful earthy shade is the perfect choice for an east facing room (especially one used on a morning) as it will cool down the brightness of the sunlight and help to balance the room. It’s also a great option for a west or south facing room. We would avoid using Greyish Taupe as a coordinate with pink and red toned shades. Taupe is a really easy neutral to decorate with. It’s a great standalone shade pairing beautifully with natural textures, furniture and accessories or it can be used as a soft coordinate with teals, navy’s blacks and greens enabling the feature colour to really shine while providing a balanced feeling to the room.
