Product Description

Water-Based Damp-Proofing Fluid. BioDry ProFlow is a concentrated potassium methyl siliconate solution designed to form an effective chemical damp-proof course (DPC) when diluted with water. Engineered for low-pressure injection into mortar beds, this water-repellent treatment is ideal for combating rising damp in brick, stone, and cavity wall constructions. Cost-effective and non-flammable, it delivers long-lasting protection by penetrating deep into the masonry structure and lining capillaries to block moisture migration.. Key Features & Benefits. Water-Based Formula: Non-flammable and easy to handle, ideal for sensitive indoor environments.. Cost-Effective: High dilution rate (1:11.5) makes 2L concentrate yield up to 25L of ready-to-use solution.. Effective Against Rising Damp: Forms a continuous barrier in the mortar bed to prevent moisture transfer.. Low-Pressure Injection: Suitable for use in residential and heritage buildings with minimal disruption.. Versatile Application: Effective in solid brickwork, stone, rubble-filled walls, and cavity walls.. Freeze-Tolerant: Unaffected by freezing; suitable for storage and use in cold conditions.. Application Areas. Rising damp in brick and stone walls. Remedial damp proofing in existing buildings. Heritage and conservation properties. Solid, cavity, and rubble-core walls. Preparation & Application. Surface Prep: Remove skirtings, plasters, and damaged renders. Rake out mortar beds to 10–15mm depth. Clean debris for adhesion.. Drilling: Drill 10–14mm holes into or angled towards mortar beds. Spacing ≤170mm. Drill both sides for thicker or cavity walls.. Injection: Dilute 1 part BioDry ProFlow with 11.5 parts clean water. Inject under 50 psi until mortar bed is fully saturated.. Finishing: Plug holes and allow walls to dry before replastering. Use a bell-mouth render detail where external render was removed.. Technical Specifications. Composition: Potassium methyl siliconate. Mix Ratio: 1 part concentrate to 11.5 parts water. Coverage: ~2.5L per metre for 230mm thick wall. Application Method: Low-pressure injection (5–50 psi). Appearance: Clear, colourless fluid. Packaging: 2L jerrycan or 25L container. Storage: 2 years unopened; diluted solution lasts 6 months. Post-Treatment Recommendations. Replaster using appropriate salt-resistant renders. Do not decorate with vinyl paints or wallpapers for 9–12 months. Maintain good ventilation to aid drying
