They're reasonably priced, quite meaty and very popular - perfect for rice and pasta dishes. They come cooked, but you can reheat (briefly!). They come in two versions: with both shells still on or with one shell removed, leaving the meat nestling in the other shell. PLEASE NOTE: Live clams opens up in an effort to cool down. These clams here are cooked and frozen and therefore oblivious of the heat when you cook them. So some open by themselves and the others need a quick flick with a none-too-sharp knife. But we can assure you... the non-openers are safe.
