Limited edition pressing of 350Crystal Clear vinylin alternative colour numbered sleeve exclusive to B,B amp G webshop.A year on from their debut album, Bernard Butler, Norman Blake amp James Grant, collectively known as BUTLER, BLAKE amp GRANT, return with MURMURS, which sees the trio reimagining songs from their respective back catalogues, which was the inspiration behind the trios initial formationBUTLER, BLAKE amp GRANT became an entity when Douglas MacIntyre of FRETS Concerts invited them to perform a lowkey concert in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, guessing that they would work well together. From there, the trio performed all over the UK and recorded a critically acclaimed album of original material at Norman Blakes home on the banks of the River Clyde.The trio reassembled at Normans studio to capture the original premise for the very early shows they played three guitars, three voices, and selections from three extraordinary song catalogues. The first track to be released is Lonely Night, written by Blake, which initially appeared as a bonus track on Teenage Fanclubs 2010 album Shadows.Of the ten tracks featured on MURMURS, only one doesnt originate from within the trio Me amp Magdelana, which was written by Blakes friend, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service fame, for The Monkees 2016 reunion album Good Times.
