Pauillac de Lynch-Moussas, Bordeaux 2019

Château Lynch-Moussas dates back to 1610 when it was bought by the Jehan family, who were wine merchants and owners of several estates. In the 2000s, Philippe Castéja took over the 62-hectare estate, modernising the château and winemaking facilities. This Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot blend is expressive and full-bodied, with fresh flavours of blackberry and blackcurrant, alongside oak and spice. Fermentation and maceration took between two and three weeks. The wine was then aged in oak barrels with a percentage of new oak for 14 months. It has round tannins and crisp acidity, making it the perfect partner to roasted meats and hard cheeses.
