Product Description

Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Founded in 1885 by Felipe Rutini under the original name of Bodega La Rural, Rutini Wines is today one of Argentina's most renowned wineries, owning over four hundred hectares of vineyards spread across the Uco Valley, at the foot of the Andes. Here, the vines benefit from the altitude, intense sunlight, and unique microclimate diversity that favors premium-quality viticulture. The Chardonnay grapes come from a vineyard located in the Gualtallary sub-region at approximately 1,185 meters above sea level. After harvesting, half of the fermentation takes place in French oak barrels and the other half in stainless steel tanks. The finished wine then ages for 9 months in French oak (20% new). In the glass, the wine reveals a brilliant golden color with light greenish highlights. Its aromatic profile is broad and exotic, with notes of tropical fruit such as mango and pineapple, banana, stone fruit, and hints of vanilla and honey. On the palate, it is rich and generous, smooth and well-structured. It has crisp acidity, well-balanced by a fruity and juicy character. It is fresh and harmonious, with a long, fruity, and silky finish. When it comes to food pairings, it is a true all-rounder: it pairs well with fish, seafood, vegetable omelettes, paella, grilled pork, and roast chicken.
