2.5mm D49 High Tensile Steel Reinforcement Wrapping Mesh 2400mm x 4800mm

D49 light-duty welded steel fabric used as reinforcement in cementitious screeds. Each sheet consists of cold-reduced steel wires, 2.5mm in diameter, resistance welded at 100mm centres to form a square grid pattern. When laid within screeds, the mesh improves tensile strength and helps control shrinkage cracking during the drying and curing process. It also minimises curling at edges and joints, ensuring a more stable, durable surface. Because it is thinner and lighter than heavy-duty reinforcement mesh, D49 is easy to handle and cut to size on site. It is widely used in residential and light commercial projects, particularly where screed thickness is limited.
