Product Description

Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Located in Burgundy, Domaine Louis Latour was founded in 1797 and remains a family-run winery, led today by Louis-Fabrice, the seventh generation of the family. With its rich history and tradition, the estate is one of the most renowned in the region, owning vineyards in some of the most prestigious Grand Crus. The Pinot Noir grapes are sourced from vineyards averaging 30 years old, planted on limestone, alluvial sand, and gravel soils in the Aloxe-Corton appellation, located around the village of the same name in the northern Côte de Beaune. After manual harvesting, fermentation takes place traditionally in open vats, and the finished wine then ages in medium-toasted French oak barrels (15% new) for 10-12 months before bottling. In the glass, Domaine Louis Latour Alowe Corton displays a clear, brilliant ruby color and a broad, elegant aromatic profile. The nose reveals notes of fresh red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, complemented by an undertone of spices and licorice. On the palate, the wine is round and fruity, with smooth tannins and a pleasant freshness. It has a medium body and a long finish that evokes delicate woody notes. Try it with Coq au Vin, pork tenderloin, or veal escalopes with mushrooms.
