Product Description

Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant but best to open it half an hour before service. Domaine Boisson is located in Meursault, one of the most prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. The estate, founded in the 1980s by Bernard Boisson and his wife, passed into the hands of their children, Pierre and Anne, in 2017. The estate's vineyards are concentrated around Meursault. Auxey-Duresses Rouge is a balanced Pinot Noir, elegantly combining freshness and smooth tannins, revealing all the elegance of the Domaine Boisson style. The grapes come from vineyards located in the Auxey-Duresses appellation on the clay-limestone soils typical of the Côte de Beaune, which give the wine an elegant minerality. In the glass, the wine reveals a bright, clear ruby color with light garnet highlights. Its aromatic profile is elegant and broad, with initial notes of fresh red fruit such as raspberry, cranberry, and cherry, followed by hints of violet and pepper on a mineral background. On the palate, it is lively and soft, delicate and fruity. It has a good structure and rounded, smooth tannins. It has balanced, refreshing acidity and a long finish that evokes spicy and mineral notes. Try it with roast poultry or veal escalopes, pork or rabbit terrines, and the famous French Brie cheese.
