Jacquard Acid Dyes are high quality concentrated fabric dyes for use on natural and synthetic protein fibres such as wool, silk, nylon, mohair, angora, and feathers. These immersive dyes can be used for yarn and garment dyeing as well as for direct painting and printing applications.Brilliant and colourfast, Jacquard Acid Dyes are highly concentrated, powdered hot water dyes that produce a consistent, uniform colour during immersion dyeing. They produce rich, strong, and vibrant colours with superb consistency that are long-lasting and won’t bleed or fade with washing.Jacquard Acid Dyes use acid derived from either white vinegar or citric acid for a safe dyeing process. Colours can be mixed to produce almost any colour in the spectrum.The acid dyes are fixed by combining hot water and 1 heaped tablespoon of citric acid to each 500g of dry fibre weight or 4 tablespoons of vinegar. For painting and printing techniques, works will need to be steam set.
