Amorphophallus atroviridis

A beautiful, unusual species with very dark, velvety leaves which are edged in slivers of contrasting bright pink and have deep, pinnate venation. Native to Thailand.. Imported in 2021 from sustainably propagated stock.. Reaches 40-50cm tall.. Grows deep in rocky crevices in its natural habitat which is why its tuber is planted deep inside a tall, terracotta pot.. Growth pattern: Tuberous single petiole with one leaf. Leaf falls off in winter dormancy. Will resume in spring.. Water: Allow to dry out between waterings. Almost no water during dormancy.. Ideal Position: East facing. Light: Bright, indirect light.. Humidity disclaimer: This plant will grow well outside of a terrarium or cabinet. However, all tropical plants thrive with higher humidity levels. To achieve this we suggest grouping plants together, or putting them in a bathroom or kitchen which gets regular use..
