This product is created for animals and is not intended for human use What is Caninsulin 40iu/ml Suspension for Injection for Dogs and Cats Caninsulin is an intermediate acting insulin product containing porcine insulin, which is structurally identical to canine insulin. Caninsulin vials can be administered with specfic 40 IU sterile single-use syringes. Indications for use: It is indicated in cases of diabetes mellitus (insulin deficiency) in dogs and cats, where the required blood levels are achieved by using an individually adjusted dose of the product. Storage: Caninsulin should be protected from light and high temperatures. Keep Caninsulin refrigerated at 2 oC to 8 oC. Do not freeze Caninsulin because this will denature it. Store insulin vials upright to avoid crystallisation around the stopper. Use Caninsulin contents within 28 days of first broaching the vial.
