Epiphen Tablets for Dogs

This product is created for animals and is not intended for human use What is Epiphen Tablets for Dogs Epiphen tablets are an anti-epileptic medication containing phenobarbital, a central nervous system depressant. It can be used to treat epilepsy in dogs, either on its own or in combination with other drugs. Regular blood tests are recommended for dogs that take this medication, to ensure that blood levels of phenobarbital are appropriate and to check for signs of liver trouble. Epiphen can cause side effects, but these are usually mild as long as blood tests are carried out regularly. This is a controlled drug, so restrictions apply to its sale. Prescriptions for this drug are only valid for 28 days from the date written and each new order must have a new prescription- repeats are not allowed. To administer, give directly by mouth for as long and as often as is recommended by your vet. Epiphen is generally needed for the lifetime of your dog once started.
