This product is created for animals and is not intended for human use What is Clavaseptin Palatable Tablets for Dogs and Cats Clavaseptin tablets are suitable for the treatment, or adjunctive treatment, of periodontal infections in dogs and skin infections in cats. The tablets contain two ingredients which work together to protect against bacteria; amoxycillin and clavulanate. Amoxycillin is the main antibiotic ingredient, however it can be inactivated by some bacteria, making them resistant. To avoid this, clavulanate is used to prevent the bacteria from inactivating the antibiotic, allowing it to kill the harmful bacteria. Compliance is vital when it comes to the success of anti-infective treatment, so Clavaseptin tablets are chewable and flavoured to encourage your pet to consume them. The product also comes in a variety of tablet sizes. To administer, give directly by mouth to your cat or dog, for as long as is recommended by your vet.
