Basting is the process of securing two or more layers of fabric or other materials together using long stitches, in preparation for stitching. The beauty of this basting thread by Gutermann is that it can be pulled out afterwards without harming your fabric and it breaks very easily (its supposed to!) This thread performs best when used with big eyed, long needles. Available in 3 shades we recommend choosing a colour that will contrast well with your fabric, so it will be easy to see afterwards where your basting threads are that need removing.
