Purely synthetic, it looks, feels, points and holds colour almost like sable, yet it is much more durable in use. The differences are that the synthetic filament will not rot in the ferrule and the lower cost of this man made material results in a much less expensive brush. This makes Prolene an excellent choice for the beginner and many artists for serious work in all media. Ideal for Watercolours and Gouache.
