The real steamer was entirely made of wood and equipped with boilers to move their iconic wheelpales, these ships were the solution to transport passengers and merchandise along the river well into the XX Century.   Steamboats played an important role in the development of the Mississippi River basin and its tributaries allowing a convenient transportation in both directions of the river. They helped to reduce the immensity of America and as 'theater boats' reduced the solitude of this immensity. America is not just modernism: it's also romance and dreams! Dream and fall in love now with this unique model that will beautify any of the rooms at home!   CONTENTS: Build the renewed 1:80 scale model of the classic King of the Mississippi steamboat. Its system of construction by means of false keel and frames will help you to build your model in the same way than the construction of the real ship.   The modeling kit contains 8 sheets of high precision laser-cut plywood parts, birch and basswood strips, veneers and dowels, 2 large photo etched sheets (294x156mm & 257x122 mm) including more and more amazing details as never seen before. It also has die-cast, brass and wood details, fittings, adhesive cloth flags and base with nameplate as a free bound. For the assembly you will be able to follow our complete full colour step-by-step guide on DVD, accompanied by a whole series of online video-tutorials that show almost the complete assembly of King of the Mississippi ship model.   Please note:  The kit does not include printed instructions. The only istructions supplied are on a DVD. You can find written instructions on Artesania Latina's website. Specifications: 660 mm length 192 mm height 130 mm width   Starter Paint Pack Includes: 7 x 17ml Vallejo model paints. Vallejo paints are supplied in plastic bottles of 17ml with an eyedropper device which keeps paint from drying and prevents spills. The model color range has been specifically developed for adherence on difficult surfaces such as metal and plastic, but the product is not toxic, not flammable, and does not give off noxious fumes.  Please note: The paint packs offered are only our suggestion from the box art and will not match directly with the instructions found within the kit.
