The construction of these boats began in 1965 from an idea of Mr Robert Newton who was looking for a vessel to suit his particular needs. IThis kits will include the following items - glass fibre hull, laser cut planking, laser cut wooden decks, metal, brass and resin fittings, laser cut cabin with detailed interiors. Can be Radio Controlled or would make a fantastic display model Also available is a motor pack HPS/1607/02 - Motor and Transmission Kit. Includes an electronic speed controller, tow motors, with the associated prop shafts, reduction gears, couplings, props rudders, motor mount timberwork and various other minor componentry. The whole upper portion of the cabin can be easily removed to access the inside of the model. The photo shows the cabin at an advanced stage of construction, removed from the hull.For best performance, we recommend fitting two RS450 motors with reduction gears.
