Dominus Estate ‘Othello’ 2019/20, Napa Valley

Christian Mouiex is a man with many talents. He oversees production in several top estates in Saint-Émilion and Pomerol, including Château La Fleur-Pétrus and Château Trotanoy. During his time as a student at UC Davis, he gained an affinity for the Napa Valley. He discovered the Napanook vineyard – the renowned site where Napa Valley’s first grape vines were planted in 1838. Christian soon became owner of the vineyard, producing revered wines under the prestigious Dominus Estate label. Othello, the third wine from the estate, shows the elegance, complexity and long-lived character that Cabernet Sauvignon can achieve in Napa Valley. Expect rich notes of cassis, raspberry, blackcurrant, mint and pepper with smooth tannins and a long finish. Best enjoyed after an hour in the decanter and paired with hearty meat dishes.
