Bunnahabhain 1978 / 45 Year Old / Signatory 35th Anniversary Islay Whisky

70cl / 42.6% - This is part of a trio of Bunnahabhain single malts that Signatory released for its 35th anniversary. It was drawn from a single oloroso sherry butt after 45 years of maturation and carries with it all of the rich, rancio character that is expected from this well-aged whisky and well-respected Islay distillery. There are notes of salted caramel, praline, stewed fruits with hints of leather and baking spice throughout the palate.
