Located in Gaiole in Chianti, the Tenuta Perano vineyards embody Tuscan tradition in their wines. They are located 500m above sea level, where the Sangiovese is particularly elegant and brimming with personality. This Chianti is made from a carefully hand-selected blend of Sangiovese and Merlot and aged in oak barrels for 24 months. It has floral aromas with typical notes of violet and dog rose, followed by an elegant sour cherry finish. It's spicy, with hints of liquorice root and clove. The wine has a savoury character, with a wonderful tannic structure and freshness. Try pairing it with traditional Tuscan dishes of game meats or ragu.
