Cold packs are used to reduce swelling by cooling the skin and underlying blood vessels which constrict to limit blood flow to the area these packs are commonly used by physiotherapists and can also be used to treat sports injuries. These co-branded St John Ambulance Koolpak® cold packs are a handy size perfect for first aid kits and sports bags. These ice packs activate in seconds; simply squeeze the non-woven pack to provide instant treatment to the injury. Despite the cooling effect these Koolpak packs won't cause freeze burns and as a result can be applied directly to the skin meaning that the user can wrap these cold packs around the injury. Each cold pack can remain cold for up to 40 minutes and there is no need for refrigeration before use. Koolpak Kool Spray is also available.
