Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. It is recommended to decant it for an hour. Part of the Jackson Family Wines group since 1993, La Crema winery was founded in 1979. Its production focuses on the fresh climate areas of California, with meticulous attention to microclimates and the diversity of terroirs and individual vineyards, under the careful guidance of oenologist Craig McAllister. Crafted with small additions of Merlot to add smoothness and ripe fruit flavors, Sonoma Coast Cabernet Sauvignon La Crema is an elegant and well-balanced wine. The grapes come from the estate's vineyards in Alexander Valley and other mountain and valley plots. Vinification is done individually by block or clone, and the finished wine ages for 15 months in a mix of French and American oak (only a small portion is new). On the nose, the wine reveals a fresh aromatic profile with notes of plums, dark cherries, berries, and blackcurrants against a background of coffee and tobacco. On the palate, it is rich, plush, rounded, and juicy, with firm, well-integrated tannins and lively acidity. It has good structure and a long, concentrated finish with hints of vanilla. Try it with a portobello mushroom burger, a lamb tagine, or a nice, juicy steak.
