Individually adjustable BL3 floor lamp – chrome frame In terms of both appearance and function, the BL3 floor lamp is a master of versatility. The frame can be individually adjusted so that the light can be tailored to your personal needs. British industrial designer Robert Dudley Best (1892–1984) – a contemporary of Walter Gropius – drew inspiration for the design from the Bauhaus style. With its purist, timelessly elegant appearance, the BL3 floor lamp can also be integrated into numerous contemporary interior styles. The first light in the Bestlite series, the BL1 table lamp, was initially used primarily in workshops due to its high functionality. The Royal Air Force also used it. It became famous as Winston Churchill's desk lamp and is now considered an icon of sophisticated design worldwide. Bestlite is represented in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Design Museum in London. The Bestlite series of lights has been manufactured by Gubi since 2004. The Danish company is known for the excellent quality of the furniture and lights it produces.
