Designed to be both a lightweight watch for athletes and suitable for everyday wear, the Endurance Pro combines an ultra light and robust Breitlight case with a rubber strap. The watch has been made for men and women and has a black dial with a bright coloured strap with matching accents across the dial. It also uses a quartz movement and has a bezel compass scale and a sun compass function. BEZEL COMPASS SCALE By indicating the four points of the compass and the courses, this bezel fulfils several navigational functions. 1. Course memory This function enables the pilot to "memorize" the course to be followed by placing the latter opposite the hour-marker at 12 o'clock. 2. Indication of the opposite course Enables the user to instantly read off the return direction, shown opposite the course followed on the outbound flight. SUN COMPASS Your Breitling chronometer may be used as a sun compass, thus enabling you to determine North and South. For regions that have instated daylight saving time, subtract one hour when aligning the watch. In the Northern Hemisphere, point the hour hand precisely towards the sun. In relation to the watch dial, the point located midway between the current time and 12 o'clock indicates South, North being exactly opposite. In the Southern Hemisphere, point the hour-marker located at 12 o'clock on the dial precisely towards the sun.
