Both the lampshade and the round ceiling mount are made of aluminium. Due to the cylindrical shade, the light is emitted directly downwards, so that the area below the luminaire is well illuminated and there is no glare all around. Therefore Padilum is well suited for use above a counter, dining room table or in the kitchen. Also the commercial use of this luminaire is not excluded.
