Mt. Difficulty 'Ghost Town' Syrah 2022/23, Central Otago

The story of Mt. Difficulty began in the 1990s, when four friends became the owners of five newly planted vineyards in Bannockburn, Central Otago. A handshake cemented their fate and in 2004, Mt. Difficulty Wines Ltd was created. It’s now owned by Foley Wines – an inter-regional premium wine group in New Zealand. The 2022 Syrah has a touch of Pinot Noir to bring finesse and acidity. Expect flavours of baked black plums and red cherries, alongside earthy leathery tones and savoury spices. It’s delicious with any roasted meat or charred vegetables.
