Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 15 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Domaine Louis Latour is one of Burgundy's most prestigious and esteemed wineries. It has been family-run for over 200 years and is now managed by Louis Fabrice, the seventh generation of the family. The estate's vineyards span approximately 50 hectares, spread across the finest appellations of the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, and the company also owns plots in Ardèche and Var. The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from vines averaging 25 years old, planted on marly limestone soils. After manual harvesting and fermentation in oak barrels, the finished wine ages in medium-toasted French oak barrels (15% new) for 8 to 10 months. The result is an elegant wine that perfectly expresses the extraordinary character of the Meursault terroir. In the glass, it reveals a bright, straw-yellow color and a seductive, fragrant aromatic profile with notes of white flowers and honey, as well as hints of peach and brioche. On the palate, it is fresh, taut, and lively, with a well-integrated acidity and a long, refreshing, and fruity finish. It is a versatile wine when paired with food. It pairs well with white fish, mussels, all seafood, and salmon tartare, but also with veal escalopes and roast poultry.
