The Gold coating provides 98% heat reflectivity and is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 500 degrees C. Gold is used for its superior reflective properties and thermal diffusivity. The sheets are flexible and thin (0.25mm) so are easy to cut and shape to suit many different applications. Zircoflex gold has many uses where heat transfer is a problem, specifically in engine bays. It can be used to attach to the underside of bonnets or bulkheads to protect paintwork. it can be used on air boxes or intake pipes to reduce air intake temperatures and ultimately increase power levels.
