The CD-7 carbon digital dash display from AEM Electronics is an ultra lightweight and compact solution to replace all dashboard gauges making them ideal for Motorsport use or for kit cars, custom cars and resto-mods. The 7" full colour screen displays the fully user customisable layout allowing you to view only the parameters you require. User settable alarms are visualised by 200 SAE and custom warning icons, you can even add your own if required. A dedicated alarm page provides a clear indication of any problems and is fully user programmable. The dash includes 'DashDesign' graphics editing software to allow for easy customisation. On top of the unit there are 7 LEDs wchich can be programmed for RPM / shift lights. There are a further 2 programmable LEDs at the side of the unit.ConnectivityThe digital dash display accepts two separate programmable CAN Bus connections to allow side by side connection for AEM devices and non AEM. The dash can be connected to most popular aftermarket ECU's. For OEM ECU's in vehicles from 2008 via a separately available plug and play OBDII CAN adaptor cable (click HERE for details). For older ECU controlled vehicles or for vehicles without an ECU a 22 channel CAN sensor module is available. This module converts analogue, digital and frequency inputs into a CAN bus signal compatible with the AEM dash. If more than 22 channels are required the modules can be daisy chained. Plug and play adaptor harnesses are also available for aftermarket Holley, MSD Atomic and VI-Pec ECU's.GPS OptionThe CD-7 dash display is available with or without a 20hz GPS receiver and antenna. The GPS option provides accurate speed and distance information as well as lap timing and track mapping. This then becomes a valuable tool for improving lap times as it shows where time is lost and gained on each section of a lap. It also provides predictive lap timing information with real time display of gain or loss.ExpansionIf you wish to increase the functionality of the CD-7 dash further there are expansion packs available to purchase separately:8 channel K type EGT module - This module allows up to 8 K-type thermocouple temperature inputs to be transmitted to the dash via a single CAN bus connection.Vehicle dynamics module - This kit includes a GPS receiver and antenna plus a 3 axis gyroscope for providing lateral, longitudinal and vertical acceleration.
