Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. It is recommended to decant it for half an hour. The Spanish winery Nin-Ortíz was founded by Ester Nin and Carlos Ortiz in the late 1990s and today covers approximately 18 hectares of vineyards cultivated according to artisanal and organic farming principles and worked with mules. The new cellar is located on the Les Planetes de Porrera estate. Flor de La Coma is an elegant red produced in limited quantities (approximately 2,600 bottles) and exclusively with Grenache grapes from the Coster La Coma D'en Romeu vineyard located in Porrera. Here, the organically and biodynamically cultivated vines planted in 2020 benefit from an altitude of between 370 and 400 meters. After harvest, fermentation occurs spontaneously, and the finished wine ages for approximately 1.5 years in 600-liter barrels. Sulfites are kept to a minimum and only used during the maturation and bottling stages. In the glass, the wine reveals a brilliant cherry-red color. Its aromatic profile is broad and fragrant with fresh notes of cherry and berry fruit, followed by floral and herbaceous notes and a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, it is soft, rounded, and generous with smooth tannins and a deep, fruity character. The finish is long with hints of minerality. It pairs excellently with roast lamb or roast pork belly.
