Product Description
Drink it now or cellar for up to 10 years. No need to decant, but best to open it half an hour before service. Domaine Thillardon is a family winery founded in 2008 by Paul-Henri Thillardon in the Chenas appellation of the Beaujolais wine region. It is now managed by Paul-Henri and his brothers. Today, the estate owns approximately 12.5 hectares spread across the terroirs of Chénas, Moulin-à-Vent, with some plots taken over from their parents' estate in southern Beaujolais. Chenas Vibrations by Domaine Thillardon is a modern Beaujolais, an organic and natural wine. The Gamay grapes are selected from vineyards located in the Chenas appellation, from old vines planted on granite, quartz, and alluvial soils, and grown using biodynamic practices. After harvest and semi-carbonic whole-bunch maceration, the finished wine rests half in cement and the other half in used wood for 8 months. The wine reveals a clear and bright color with intense purple tones and a lively and energetic aromatic profile with notes of raspberries and cherries, dried flowers and orange peel, and then hints of pink pepper, herbs, and licorice. On the palate, it is silky and characterful, fresh and fruity. It has a light body and a well-integrated acidic vein. The finish is long and juicy. It is the ideal wine to pair with game birds.
