Blancpain’s desire to catalyse technical innovations to aid in the exploration of the marine world gave rise to the Fifty Fathoms collection, some of the finest dive watches ever made worn by the legendary oceanographer Jacques Cousteau. A robust satin-brushed grey ceramic case and scratch resistant sapphire crystal allow for an exceptional water resistance of 300m and with a power reserve of 120 hours, this watch is extremely durable. The brushed blue dial has a date function at 4.30 and is pointed to by white luminescent baton hands and white luminescent hour markers indicate the hours. The face is finished with a blue ceramic unidirectional bezel marked with minutes and it’s all fastened with a blue sail-canvas strap with pin buckle.
