Product Description
This range of universal speed sensors are suitable for use with Brantz or other types of trip meter / rally computer.Four different fitting types are available -Speedometer Cable - Suitable for vehicles with a mechanically driven speedometerSmiths/Jaeger Speedometers - Suitable for fitting to the speedometer or gearbox end of vehicles with a Smiths or Jaeger mechanical speedometer.Universal Wheel Sensor - Senses speed from any metallic target rotating at vehicle speed. Eg wheel hub bolt or propshaft bolt. The sensor must be placed in 2mm proximity to the bolt The high temperature version is specially designed for high temperature situations such as hot climates or for courses with increased braking levels. The 4mm version requires a 4mm gap to the bolt (standard is 2mm)Gearbox Sensor M22 (High Grade) - Now with dual pulse outputs to drive 2 x trip meters or a trip meter and speedometer. Suitable for most Japanese cars with a mechanical speedometer and a round or square pin drive, this sensor screws to the gearbox and allows the original speedometer cable to be fitted. This high grade option is stronger for rough terrain and includes both round and square pin drives.Gearbox Sensor M22 - Suitable for Japanese cars which have a round pin drive, this sensor screws to the gearbox and allows the original speedometer cable to be fitted.Gearbox Sensor M22 (Square Pin Drive) - Suitable for Japanese cars which have a 2.7mm square drive pin, this sensor screws to the gearbox and allows the original speedometer cable to be fitted.Gearbox Sensor (M18) - Suitable for most European cars with a mechanical speedometer this sensor screw to the gearbox and allows the original speedometer cable to be fittedDividing Prescaler Interface - This interface takes a pulse from most types of electronic speedometer and tachographs plus some ABS sensors. Required digital signal is - Low (less than 1 volt), High ( more than 4 volts). High pulse rates are divisible by up to 16Drive/Prop Shaft - Ideal for where a universal wheel sensor is not suitable. A sender is clamped to the prop or drive shaft and the receiver counts each revolution converting to a speed signal.
