Coonawarra's reds are seen as some of the best Australia has to offer. Their cool climate and famous terra rossa soils are now celebrated the world over. The Wynns family recognised the intrinsic qualities of Coonawarra wines - their richness and intensity of fruit character - and set out to build an independent identity in the region. They created the famous label that has made John Riddoch’s winery one of Australia’s best known buildings and a recognised symbol of heritage and refinement, qualities Wynns prides itself on. This particular Cabernet Sauvignon is intense and bright, a hallmark of the selected vineyards and the maturation in vats. Expect flavours of blackberry, cherry, plum and thyme, meshing with savoury fine cedar notes. Try it with a smoky charcuterie board, salty cheeses, gently grilled meats or spicy smoky prawns.
