Historic winery located in the Syrmia wine region in Serbia, Erdevik takes its name from the village where it is located, which in turn takes its name from a Hungarian word meaning forest area. Here, on the slopes of Fruška Gora at about 100-140 meters above sea level, the company grows international grape varieties for the production of excellent wines that are widely appreciated by the public and critics. The award-winning Omnibus Lector is one of the most internationally popular Serbian wines, made from 100% Chardonnay, and fermented and aged in oak barrels. In the glass, the wine reveals a beautiful bright yellow color with light greenish hues. On the nose, it shows an intense and broad aromatic profile with delicious notes of tropical fruit and Golden apples followed by hints of vanilla and pastry. On the palate, it has a velvety texture and a full body. It is a characterful white, round, and mineral with a well-defined acidity and a refreshing citrus juiciness. The finish is long and pleasant and recalls notes of sweet spices. With food, it is extremely versatile: it is excellent with baked pasta with béchamel, with poultry, with seafood, and with full-fat cheeses.
