If you like Rioja, then this ripe and full Tempranillo is one to try. Tempranillo is a key Spanish grape variety, grown widely throughout the region of Castilla y León​​. It's known locally by different names such as Tinta de Toro and Tinta del País but we tend to see it as Tempranillo in the UK. It's bursting with concentrated flavours of red and black fruit, and hints of liquorice and spice. Round, soft and persistent, it's delicious with dishes like lamb tagine, a Mediterranean mixed platter, or mild cheeses.
